I just pushed the metal connector out of the way so it doesn't make a contact. By doing this, it stops the alarm from setting, the red light no longer flashes. Obviously, my key fob still doesn't work. Was told by Honda dealer today that the key fob is probably faulty which is why it wouldn't set.
